Coffee was first introduced into Jamaica from the island of Hispaniola in 1728. But it wasn't until the abolition of slavery on the British territory in 1838 when former slaves in the Blue Mountains began the cultivation of coffee. At the eastern end of the island of Jamaica is a majestic range of h9lls known as the Blue Mountains. At elevations of up to 5,000 feet the terrain, the soil, the rainfall, and the thick Blue Mountain mist combine to create the perfect conditions for the cultivation of the World famous, most distinguished and most delicious Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee. Only coffee grown in this precise geographic region is certified "100" Jamaica Blue Mountain. Arabica Typica is the dominant variety with almost 90% of the planted area. This is a low yielding variety, but it produces the highest cup quality.

This unique coffee has an intense aroma and perfect balance of acidity and body. Jamaica High Mountain Supreme coffee, is Arabica Typica, this coffee is grown in a different mountain range in the center to west of the island. Different soil and climatic conditions produce a coffee with a distinctive smooth full-bodied flavor, light acidity, clean taste, and pleasant aroma. Our Wallenford Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee and our Jamaica High Mountain Supreme coffee are available in 70kg, 30kg and 15kg wooden barrels.

Our Wallenford Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee is available in 16oz, 8oz, 4oz and 2oz burlap presentation bags. Jamaica High Mountain Supreme Coffee and Jamaica Blue Mountain Blend are available in 16oz and 8oz burlap presentation bags. Inside, our coffee is sealed in valve bags to retain its freshness for extended periods of time. Food service packages are available in 5lb vacuum bags. The Jamaica Blue Mountain Blend is an exquisite combination of the finest coffees grown in Jamaica that results in an outstanding cup of coffee. It contains 30% of Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee and 70% of Jamaica High Mountain Supreme coffee.

Our roasted Wallenford Jamaica Blue Mountain 100% and our Jamaica Blue Mountain Blend * are available in beautiful miniature replicas of our famous wooden barrels, in the following sizes of 2oz, 4oz and 8oz.
